Actually the title was supposed to be "Because a doctor doesn't need to be armed" but that was too long. *sigh*

Anyway, this is my entry for `hakubaikou's Rurouni Kenshin contest themed "Friends & Enemies".
I have been fascinated by the relationship of Megumi and Aoshi for quite some time and sadly their turn from being Enemies isn't portrayed in detail in neither Anime (I think... I haven't seen the later episodes) nor Manga. The scene I tried to depict here is from the Manga's last arc (Jinchu-arc) when Megumi after having to work with Aoshi to find Enshi meets him in front of the Kamiya-Dojo and gives him back the dagger she used when she tried to kill Aoshi's then-employer Kanryu, and that was given to her by Aoshi to commit suicide. Now though she's walking Kenshin's way and wants to atone by living and not by killing herself or any one else so I thought it fitting for her to give the dagger away. Aoshi on the other hand has just been asked by Kenshin not to kill anymore and may now start to walk the same path as Kenshin and Megumi so this might be the right hint that you can move on and live happily like that - as Megumi is doing.

At this point I think the two already have come a long way from being enemies to being somewhat like... friends.
